Joshua Michael "Josh" Tillman (or J. Tillman) commonly known by his stage name, Father John Misty, is an American singer, songwriter, guitarist, and drummer. He is a former member of the bands Saxon Shore, Fleet Foxes, Demon Hunter and more. He has also worked with popular artists including Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, and Kid Cudi.

Tillman opened for Lana Del Rey on three dates on the North American 2014 leg of the Paradise Tour. He toured with her from May 25th to May 30th in Vancouver, Seattle, and Los Angeles.

On January 25, 2016, Del Rey announced via social media that there would be a music video for her song "Freak", featuring Father John Misty. The music video premiered on February 9, 2016, at the Wiltern in Los Angeles, California. Later that night, the official music video was released on Del Rey's Vevo channel.

Del Rey covered the song "Buddy's Rendezvous" from Tillman's fifth studio album released under the stage name Father John Misty, Chloë and the Next 20th Century. The cover was released as a bonus 7" vinyl included in the limited edition deluxe on April 8, 2022.
